The search is on in southeastern Illinois for the suspect in a shooting homicide Sunday in Mt Vernon Illinois. Authorities are on the lookout for 29 year old Jaquez Gardner of Woodlawn. He is wanted in connection with the death of a man by gunshot at the Corner Tavern at 19th and Perkins Streets. A warrant for First Degree Murder and Being an Armed Habitual Criminal has been issued for Gardner.
