Fire extensively damaged a Vincennes residence late Tuesday night. Vincennes city and township firefighters were called out around 11 p.m. EDT to the fire location at 1322 Locust Street and arrived to discover smoke coming from the rear. They entered the home and brought the blaze under control in around 15 minutes. The occupants of the residence were able to escape without injury. The fire caused an estimated $30,000 in damage. The cause remains under investigation.
