The new Crawford County Recreation Center project is moving forward. The Illinois Eastern Community College Board of Trustees approved the work in May. It is now in the pre-construction process. The Center will be built on the campus of Lincoln Trail College near Robinson but operated independently from the college itself. In addition to the new facility, the CCRC will take over operation of the LTC indoor pool. Bids are being sought for renovations to that pool. The new Rec Center will be built just east of the current LTC indoor pool location and be connected with it. Work is expected to begin in the fall and take around 12 to 14 months to complete.
