Courtney Diane Chenoweth Kolb, age 35, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, after a brief but brave fight against cancer. She was born on August 16, 1985, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the daughter of Bob Chenoweth and Cindy (Thurman) Ragsdale. She married Timothy Kolb on June 03, 2006, and he survives, with their children.

Courtney was Church Secretary for the First United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. She and her husband, Tim also operated Kolb’s Culinary Creations, a popular catering and event-focused food trailer service. Courtney was also a Licensed Practical Nurse.

She was amazingly creative and excelled with every project, including crafting, sewing, baking, and illustration. Courtney loved all things Disney; and she, Tim, and their children, 12-year-old son, Kaden and 8-year-old daughter, Hadley enjoyed trips to Disney World. As much as she loved the Magic Kingdom, however, she loved her friends and family most of all. She was beloved throughout the Lawrenceville community, and known for her ready smile, her kindness, and her deep sense of caring for those in need, even if that need was merely a hug. (Her hugs were the best!)

Preceding her in death was her grandfather, Charles Chenoweth; grandmother, Nancy Chenoweth; grandfather, James Thurman; grandmother, Martha Thurman; aunt, Donna Mersereau; and uncle, Roger Mason.

Besides her husband and children, survivors include her mother, Cindy Ragsdale and stepfather, Dave Ragsdale of Plainfield, Indiana; father, Bob Chenoweth and stepfather, Dan Jessup of Mooresville, Indiana; sister, Nicole (Paul) Moore and children of Ossian, Indiana; grandmother, Diana Chenoweth; and many beloved members of her extended family.
