Starter Zach Davies went six hitless innings and combined with relievers Ryan Tepera, Andrew Chafin and closer Craig Kimbrell to no-hit the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-0 Thursday night in game 1 of their four game series at Dodger Stadium. Catcher Willson Contreras drove in 2 runs and shortstop Javier Baez 1 in the win. It was the first combined no hitter in Cub franchise history and the 7th no hit game in the major leagues this season. The Cubs will play game 2 under the lights Friday night with Jake Arrietta (5-8) scheduled to pitch against Tony Gonsolin (0-0) for the Dodgers.
