2021 NJCAA indoor pole vault national champion and North Knox Indiana graduate Makinzi Meurer signed a letter of intent Tuesday to continue her academic and athletic career at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. She was part of an outstanding Vincennes University pole vaulting squad that produced three national championships this season as well as six top three finishes during the 2021 indoor and outdoor seasons. Meurer is a three time NJCAA All-American in the pole vault and also added her name to the VU record books as a javelin thrower with a distance to 33.07 meters in May.
