Vonda Lee Williams, age 94, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Born in Norris City, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Marshall Elmer Smith and Reba Wave McKenzie.
Vonda was a member of United Methodist Church in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She loved to be by the water, host friends and family, and she was known for being an amazing cook.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth Williams; two sisters, Della Jenkins and Carldeane Ready; and one daughter-in-law, Joyce Rebecca.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael (Mary Anne) Williams and Kenneth Williams; one brother, Glenn Phelps; two grandchildren, Nicholas Bryant (Sarah) Williams and Mellissa Leah Williams; four great-grandchildren Alyssa, Michaela, Avery, and Jaden; and numerous family and friends.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 12:00 PM CDT at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hopewell Food Pantry, 903 West City Point Road, Hopewell, VA 23860. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
