Indiana State Police say a southwest Indiana female teen is dead after being shot early Thursday in the Sullivan County city of Carlisle. The victim was identified as 15 year old Mezmariah Wilson of Shelburn. Authorities say the girl was at a large gathering of two groups around 12 p.m. EDT at a city intersection when an altercation broke out and one person began shooting. Wilson was hit and was initially taken to Sullivan County Hospital and later lifeflighted to an Indianapolis hospital where she later died. Investigation is underway and no suspect has been arrested in the case yet, according to the ISP.
