Vincennes city firefighters were called out after two adjacent homes caught fire late Sunday afternoon. They were dispatched around 5 p.m. EDT to the 500 block of Shelby Street. Both 508 and 510 Shelby Street residences were on fire and both were considered total losses. One person suffered minor injury at the scene. The Indiana State Fire Marshall has been called in to assist city fire officials in investigating the cause of the fires.
