Vincennes native and Ball State University graduate Jack Cunningham is the 2021 Silverthorne Auto Lawrence County Open Golf Tournament champion. He captured the title in his first appearance this past weekend with a two day total of 5 under 139 which included an opening round 68 on Saturday. Cunningham was three better than the Bridgeport duo of defending champion Zach Breault and Camren Ray who tied for second at 2 under 142. The “A” flight winner was David Kiely of Evansville with 144, “B” flight was won by local Tommy Hulfachor at 156, “C” flight champ was another local-Blake Potts with 162, “D” flight winner was Nick Poland of Olney at 160 and the Senior Flight winner was Larry Fossi of Terre Haute Indiana at 152. The AM-AM tournament Friday was won by the foursome of Mike Ball, Hulfachor, Tom Tewell and Dennis Stark with a 313 total. The 2021 Meeks Insurance L.C.C.C Shootout also Friday was won by Matt Davis of Terre Haute who defeated Ray in a playoff.
