Javier Baez and Patrick Wisdom each homered twice and Kris Bryant also went deep to extend his hitting streak to 13 games as the Chicago Cubs blasted the visiting San Diego Padres 7-2 Monday afternoon at Wrigley Field. The win pushed the Cubs into first place in the NL Central with a 30-23 record and completed a solid 19-8 May for the team-best in the NL. Game two of the three game series is Tuesday night with Kyle Hendricks (5-4) scheduled for the Cubs and Ryan Weathers (2-1) for San Diego.
