The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,907 cases of coronavirus across the state this past weekend Friday through Sunday with 109 deaths. No case reports from the Lawrence County Health Department were immediately available. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,382,186 cases of the disease statewide with 22,827 total deaths. 11,291,906 vaccinations have now been administered across the state since the vaccine rollout began with over 22,200 people getting vaccine shots Sunday. The LCHD has announced it is offering Friday vaccination clinics at it’s main office located on US 50 west of Lawrenceville on Country Club Road. The clinics will be from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on those days except for holidays. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is now reporting that 67% of Illinois adults have received at least 1 dose of COVID-19 vaccine and that 50% of Illinois adults are fully vaccinated.
