The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 891 new cases of coronavirus Thursday with 42 additional deaths across the state. One of those deaths occurring in neighboring Richland County-a 50 year old male succumbing to the disease. No new cases reported in Lawrence County with the most recent total at 2,480 with no new deaths. There were 2 new cases Thursday in Knox County Indiana bringing the case total there to 3,745 with no new deaths. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,379,279 cases with 22,718 deaths in Illinois. A total of 11,113,382 vaccines have now been administered since the vaccine rollout began in Illinois with over 63,000 people receiving shots Thursday.
