Javier Baez hit a two run homer to deep center field in the top of the 10th inning to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 2-1 win over the St Louis Cardinals at Busch Stadium Sunday night. Cub closer Craig Kimbrell picked his first win of the season after giving up 1 run in just over 1 inning of work. The loss spoiled 8 scoreless innings pitched by Cardinal starter Adam Wainwright. Anthony Reyes took the loss in relief for the Redbirds. The Cubs took two of three in the series and are off Monday. They will open up a three game series Tuesday in Pittsburgh against the Pirates.
