Former Lawrenceville High School product Jayley Akers capped off an outstanding season for the Lincoln Trail College Lady Softball Stateswomen by being named to the Great Rivers Athletic Conference and Region 24 1st teams. She batted .432 with 18 homers and 36 RBI. She also scored 57 runs while walking 22 times and stealing 16 bases. Her 18 roundtrippers were 3rd in the GRAC and 40th in the nation. She also had a season slugging percentage of .851. Akers plans to return to LTC for 1 more season before transferring to a 4 year school.
