LAUGHLIN, SHICK RESIGN; BISHOP BACK AT LHS

There has been coaching movement in both the Lawrenceville Indian boys and girls basketball programs. Wednesday night, the Unit 20 Board of Education accepted the resignation of Ian Laughlin as Indian head coach after just 1 year at the helm. He is heading to Olney. They also accepted the resignation of Tad Shick as Lady Indian head coach after 3 years at the helm. In a surprise move, the board named former Indian and Hall of Fame coach Randy Bishop as boys head coach. Bishop returns to the sideline after a 1 year hiatus from coaching. The Unit 20 board did approve Bishop’s retirement from Lawrenceville High School as a P.E and Health teacher paving the way for his return. Meanwhile, the LHS girls head coaching position will be posted for applications.
