The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,495 new cases of coronavirus Tuesday across the state with 21 deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department Tuesday reported 2 new cases to up the county case total to 2,480. 15 cases remain active with 1 person hospitalized and no new deaths. There were 2 new COVID-19 cases reported in Knox County Indiana bringing the county total to 3,730 with no new deaths. Overall since the pandemic began, there have now been 1,368,709 cases of the disease with 22,466 deaths. Over 10.4 million vaccines have now been administered in Illinois since the vaccine rollout began and on Tuesday there were over 25,900 people given a shot at sites across the state.
