COMMUNITY COLLEGE ENROLLMENTS DROP

The COVID-19 pandemic forced many community colleges across Illinois to go to online classes and new students stayed away this spring. Enrollment was down statewide by around 15%. The Illinois Eastern Community College District #529 also suffered averaging a 14.7% decline. Lincoln Trail College at Robinson and Olney Central College says modest declines of 3.3% and 5.2% respectively while Frontier College at Fairfield and Wabash Valley College in Mt Carmel had much larger declines of 18.2% and 19.6%.
