The St Francisville City Council met in regular session Wednesday night. Newly elected officials were sworn in and seated. They included new aldermen Ben Mason and Tony Shearer, incumbent alderman Lee Campbell, incumbent City Clerk Terri Wease, incumbent City Treasurer Jeff Tussey and new Mayor Danny Lynn. Representatives from the engineering firm of HLR were on hand to brief the council on the upcoming bridge project. The council did approve $5000 for a land appraisal as part of preparations for that project. Mayor Lynn sent to the Building and Grounds Committee a request to meet with the city on the prospects of a new gas station location in the city. Lynn also indicated the possibility of looking at constructing a new city meeting location in the future with the St Francisville School Building where council meetings are currently held deteriorating and costing money to maintain. Approved by the council was the Civic Improvement Corporation annual fundraising Fish Fry and Fireworks scheduled for Saturday July 3rd at River Park.
