The Vincennes Board of Works and Safety Monday approved the return of a popular downtown activity. The “Spring on Main” event is scheduled for Friday June 4th from 6 till 10 p.m. Eastern Time and will feature many activities for young and old alike and allow people to visit and see the downtown area. It is sponsored by the Downtown Vincennes Association in conjunction with the Knox County Chamber of Commerce and the Tourism Bureau. It was not held in 2020 due to COVID-19. Also approved by the Board was a contract with the Indiana Department of Transportation for a $600,000 road improvement project with bids to be opened in June.
