Vincennes Mayor Joe Yochum announced Monday that longtime City Parks Superintendent Steve Beamon has stepped down. He submitted his resignation after 16 years of service to the city in the position. Beamon is leaving to take another position in Vincennes. Yochum in a statement praised Beamon for his efforts over the years to maintain and improve recreation areas and activities for the citizens of Vincennes and wished him well in his new endeavor.
