The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,410 new cases of coronavirus across the state Wednesday with 30 new deaths. There were no new cases reported by the Lawrence County Health Department. The county case total remains at 2,471 with 6 still active. 1 person remains hospitalized and there have been no new deaths. 2 new cases were reported Wednesday in Knox County Indiana bring the case total there to 3,711 with no new deaths. Currently the IDPH is reporting 1,346,398 cases of the disease statewide with 22,096 deaths. Over 9.5 million vaccination have been administered in Illinois since the vaccine rollout began with over 96,000 people receiving shots Wednesday. Governor J.B Pritzker reported this week that with the state COVID-19 metrics continuing to improve, Illinois is on track to perhaps enter Phase 5 of the Recovery Plan in July.
