The Illinoi Eastern Community College District #529 Board of Trustees reorganized for the next 2 years at it’s session Tuesday night in Mt Carmel. Dr. G. Andrew Fischer was honored for his years of service to the district and board after announcing his retirement late last year. The April 6th election returns were certified with the oath of office adminstered to incumbents Barbara Shimer of Robinson and Jan Ridgely of Olney and newcomer Brady Waldroup of Lawrenceville. New student trustee Sonia Borom from Wabash Valley College was sworn in for a one year term. Gary Carter was elected Board Chairman and Brenda Culver Vice-Chairman with Shimer as Secretary Pro-Tem. The Board did take action approving contracts with Chancellor Ryan Gower, new Lincoln Trail College President Zahi Atallah, Frontier College President Jay Edgren, Olney Central College President Rodney Ranes and Wabash Valley College President Matthew Fowler.
