Phoebe Worstell of North Knox struck out 16 Lawrenceville batters to help lead the Lady Warriors to a narrow 2-1 win over the Lady Softball Indians Tuesday evening at Phil Alsman Field. Despite the high number of strikeouts, the hosts did have some chances to score late but could not come up with the big hit needed. With the 16 Ks, Worstell eclipsed the single season strikeout record at the school. The loss drops the Lady Indians to 1-2 on the young season. Their next action comes Thursday when they head to Edwards County. The scheduled home game vs Oblong Wednesday was moved to Friday.
