VINCENNES COUNCIL AND BOARD OF WORKS

The Vincennes Board of Works and Safety approved an approximately $43,000 contract between the city and the firm of V.E.I. Security for security cameras and networking at the downtown Pantheon Business location.  The contract was approved by the EDA and the installation work is expected to be completed in a month. A larger project will be rebid. The Board received reports on the ongoing work on the Police Station window project and preparations for the opening of the Rainbow Beach pool May 29th. The City Council met later and did approve initial readings of an ordinance creating a new fund for the reciept of monies from the Federal American Rescue Plan Act. Vincennes is anticipated to get around $3.5 million over a 2 year period to be spent by 2024.
