Matteo Capello broke the NJCAA outdoor pole vault record Saturday for Vincennes University at the Sycamore Invitational Meet Saturday at Indiana State University in Terre Haute. He captured the event with a vault of 5.50 meters to add to his indoor and outdoor school records. Former Lawrenceville High School product Cole Sumner competed and finished 5th with a vault of 4.50 meters. VU finished well back in the team standings. The squad will next compete in the Olivet Nazarene Invitational this Saturday in Bourbonnais Illinois.
