The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,137 cases of coronavirus across the state Monday with 10 deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reported 1 new case Monday which brings the case total to 2,464. 7 case are active with 1 hospitalization and no new deaths. Knox County Indiana reported a single case Monday with a 3,687 total and no new deaths. Overall since the pandemic began in Illinois, there have been 1,323,170 cases of the disease with 21,836 deaths. Over 8.8 million vaccinations have now occured in Illinois since the vaccine rollout began with over 50,000 people getting shots Monday. The LCHD is holding a Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson 1 dose walkin vaccination clinic Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at their Main Office located on US 50 west of Lawrenceville. Anyone age 16 and over is invited to be vaccinated with no appointment needed.
