Atlanta’s Freddie Freeman blasted a late three run homer to enable the Braves to hold off the Chicago Cubs 8-7 Monday night in the opener of a four game series in Atlanta. Kris Bryant hit a grand slam in the contest to tie the game for the Cubs but it was not enough as they lost their 3rd game in a row and fall to 10-12 on the season. Game two is Tuesday night with Trevor Williams (2-1) for the Cubs and Ian Anderson (1-0) for the Braves.
