The Sumner City Council met in special session Tuesday evening at City Hall. In a brief meeting, they approved a Fiscal Year 2021-22 Budget of approximately $1.8 million dollars. Re-elected incumbent Mayor Betty Brian told WAKO that the spending plan includes some progressive projects and improvements in the city’s future. Some of those include new sidewalks, a new police car, a new City Hall and Community Building and new water lines and other infrastructure.
