The Illinois Department of Public Health reported there were 9,626 new cases of coronavirus this past weekend across the state with 54 new deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department has indicated that there were 2 new cases in the county over the weekend bringing the overall total to 2,455 with 14 of those cases still active. There are 2 people hospitalized with no new deaths. There were 5 new cases of COVID-19 reported Sunday in Knox County Indiana bringing the total there to 3,663 with no new deaths. Overall since the pandemic began in Illinois, there have been 1,302,241 cases with 21,663 deaths. The IDPH reports over 115,000 people vaccinated in Illinois Saturday.
