INDIANS WIN FIRST ON SENIOR NIGHT

Brenyn Winningham ran for two touchdowns, returned a fumble for a score and also passed for 3 more touchdowns to lead the Lawrenceville Football Indians to their first win of the year Friday night-a 45-6 romp over the Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville Panthers in non-conference play at Ed Loeb Field.  On Senior Night, the Tribe jumped out on top early and led 18-6 after 1 quarter and scored 27 unanswered points in the 2nd to lead 45-6 at the half. There was no scoring in the 2nd half. Freshman Colby Stoops caught a TD pass and ran for a late score in the contest and both freshman Bryant Jenkins and senior Hunter Scott caught passes of 56 and 42 yards respectively in the victory. The  0-4 Panthers, coached by former Red Hill Saluki great Nick Straka, got their only score on a short Gavin Postilwaite run late in the first quarter. With the win, the Indians are now 1-4 and will finish up the season at Loeb Field next Friday hosting the Newton Eagles for Homecoming.
