The Red Hill Unit 10 Board of Education will decide if Red Hill High School will continue as a member of the Little Illini Conference at a special session later this month. The board did meet in regular monthly session Thursday night and decided to place the question on the agenda for a special meeting on Tuesday, April 27th at 5:30 p.m. Also at that session, newly elected board members will be seated and officers elected. RHHS athletic and administrative officials say that competitiveness in all sports and player safety are among the reasons for leaving the LIC. Red Hill is already a member of the Little Okaw Valley Conference in all high school sports except football. Also during the meeting, the board recognized outgoing board members Dixie Purcell and Kathy Gray for their service. They did approve the seeking of bids for Special Ed transportation for 2021-22 and the offering of summer school.
