Multiple firefighting agencies were dispatched Wednesday evening to a funeral home fire in northern Knox County Indiana. Units from Oaktown, Vincennes, Washington and Freelandville were mobilized just after 6 p.m. Eastern Time to the fire location-the Fredrick and Sons/McClure-Utt Funeral Home in Oaktown. They arrived to find fire coming from the basement area up to the first floor. No one was inside at the time the blaze broke out and there were no reported injuries. The preliminary cause was thought to be electrical in nature and damage estimates range from $50 to $70,000. Firefighters remained on scene for approximately 2 hours.
