The Illinois Department of Corrections have announced that they are resuming in-person visitation for prisoners at their correctional facilities across the state later this month. IDOC suspended prison visits in March of 2020 due to the pandemic. Visits will be allowed starting on Monday April 26th at both the Lawrence County Prison located west of Sumner and the Robinson Prison located on Illinois Route 1 northeast of Robinson. The IDOC will utilize an online system to schedule visits and to limit the number of visitors. More information is available on the  visitation process by visiting the IDOC website.
