PIRATES TAKE SERIES FINALE FROM CUBS

The Pittsburgh Pirates scored 3 times in the bottom of the 2nd inning Sunday and never looked back in a 7-1 rout of the Chicago Cubs at PNC Park. The hosts scored 7 runs on 14 hits in the contest and handed Cub starter Trevor Williams his first loss of the season. The only Cub score came on a Javier Baez solo home run. The win was the second in a row for the Cubs who are now 4-5. They are back in action Monday night when they open a three game series at Miller park in Milwaukee against the 5-4 Brewers who have won two in a row.  Pitching pairing has Adbert Alzolay (0-1) going for the Cubs and Freddy Peralta (1-0) for the Brewers.
