The Illinois Department of Public Health Wednesday reported 3,790 cases of coronavirus across the state with 28 new deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reports there were 2,248 positive cases in the county with 65 still active. There are no COVID-19 hospitalizations while 2,345 people have recovered. There was 1 death reported-a male subject in his 60s passed away. That ups the county death toll to 38. There were 2 new cases of the disease reported in Knox County Indiana Wednesday bringing the county total to 3,623 with no new deaths. Since the pandemic began in Illinois, there have now been 1,265,457 cases of the disease with 21,423 deaths. A total of 6,552, 982 vaccines have been administered in Illinois since the vaccination plan rolled out. Thursday, over 139,700 people were vaccinated at sites across the state.
