Authorities believe that alcohol may have been a factor in a single vehicle weekend accident in Sullivan County Indiana. The Sheriffs Department reports that a vehicle being driven by 28 year old Galia Thacker of Sullivan was traveling at a high rate of speed Saturday on Indiana State Road 63 when she lost control and ran off the road. The vehicle rolled over several times before coming to rest and catching fire. Thacker was pulled from the wreckage by passersby and then taken to a Terre Haute hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Investigation is continuing into the mishap and charges could be pending.
