The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,761 new cases of coronavirus across the state Monday with 5 new deaths. There were no new cases reported in Lawrence County Monday according to the Health Department with the case total at 2,428 and no new deaths. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,239,589 cases of the disease with 21,256 deaths statewide. The Indiana State Department of Health reported no new cases of COVID-19 in Knox County Monday with the case total at 3600 and no new deaths. A total of 5,557,614 vaccines have been administered in Illinois s of Monday. The LCHD is hosting a one shot Johnson and Johnson vaccination clinic Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at their main office located on US 50 west of Lawrenceville.
