The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,250 new cases of coronavirus across the state Sunday with 23 additional deaths. The latest case total from the Lawrence County Health Department indicates there were 2,428 cases locally as of Friday, March 26th. The Indiana State Department of Health reported 4 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday in Knox County with an overall case total now at 3,601. There was also 1 new death raising the death count to 88. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,237,828 cases of the disease statewide in Illinois with 21,251 deaths. The LCHD will be hosting a Johnson and Johnson single dose vaccination clinic Tuesday March 30th from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the LCHD main location on US 50 west of Lawrenceville.
