The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,190 cases of coronavirus along with 35 new deaths Thursday across the state. There were no new cases reported by the Lawrence County Health Department Thursday. The case total remains at 2,418 with no new hospitalizations or deaths. There were 2 new COVID-19 cases reported in Knox County Indiana Thursday with the county total now at 3,593 with no new deaths. A total of 1,229,898 cases of the disease with 21,171 deaths have now been reported statewide since the pandemic began. The IDPH says there have been 5,154,908 vaccines administered in Illinois to date with over 118,500 people being vaccinated Thursday. There were 325 shots given out locally Thursday by the LCHD during a Johnson and Johnson one shot drive-thru vaccination clinic at the Central Christian Church in Lawrenceville. There is another large vaccination clinic being planned for next month. About 13% of the Lawrence County population has now been fully immunized.
