The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 2,325 new and probable cases of coronavirus across the state Thursday with 34 new deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department indicates there was a single case of COVID-19 Thursday bringing the county case total now to 2410. 30 of those are active. There are no hospitalizations with 2,345 people having recovered from the disease. There was 1 new death upping the death toll to 35. Knox County Indiana reported only 1 case Thursday with the case total there at 3,588 with no new deaths. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,216,090 cases with 21,022 deaths. A total of 4,375, 171 vaccines have now been administered across the state with over 91,600 shots given out Thursday. The IDPH and Governor J.D. Pritzger announced Thursday that beginning Monday April 12th, all Illinois residents over the age of 16 will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine and that a new bridge phase to move the state from Phase 4 to Phase 5 of the Reopening Plan had been created based on various metrics. Under the bridge phase, health clubs, offices, salons, museums, and retail stores will be able to operate at 60% capacity and gatherings of up to 250 people indoors and 500 people outdoors would be allowed.
