Illinois State Police based out of Carmi and local and area law enforcement authorities are on the lookout for a wanted southeastern Illinois man. 36 year old Alexander McWilliam of Harrisburg is being sought in connection with the shooting of a female last Saturday in Harrisburg. He is described as an African American male about 5 feet 10 inches tall weighing about 215 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police say he is considered as armed and dangerous and should not be confronted. Anyone with information on McWilliam can contact their nearest law enforcement agency or the Illinois State Police.
