The Embarras River Basin Agency has announced it is accepting applications for the Skills Training Employment Program (STEP). The program assists income eligible individuals with training for employment opportunities such as obtaining a CDL license or a CNA or welding certificate through Illinois college courses. Funding assistance comes through Community Block Service Grants provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity. The ERBA serves Lawrence, Clark, Coles, Crawford, Cumberland, Douglas, Edgar, Jasper and Richland counties in southeastern Illinois.
