The Lawrenceville City Council met in regular session Thursday night and took time to show it’s appreciation to the Lawrence County Health Department and it’s administrator Amy Marley by presenting them with keys to the city. The presentations recognized the department’s continued work vaccinating the local public to enhance public safety from the coronavirus. The council did discuss the planned Illinois Department of Transportation project which is scheduled to begin on Illinois Route 1/15th Street on June 11th. The project is expected to cost close to $2 million.
