The Illinois Department of Public Health reports there were 1700 new and confirmed cases of coronavirus across the state Thursday with 55 deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reported 4 new cases Thursday-2 from a local outbreak. That brings the county case total to 2,392. 13 are active with no hospitalizations. 2,345 people have recovered and the death count remains stable at 34. There were 2 new cases in Knox County Indiana Thursday. That upped the case total there to 3,580 with no new deaths. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,204,409 cases of the disease across Illinois with 20,863 deaths. A total of 3,680,703 vaccinations have now been administered in Illinois with over 112,000 doses given Thursday.
