The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,682 new and probable cases of coronavirus across the state Wednesday with 30 additional deaths. The Lawrence County Health Department reports there were 2 new cases reported Wednesday bringing the county total up to 2,388 cases. 9 cases are active and there are no COVID-19 hospitalizations. 2,345 residents have recovered from the disease and the deaths remain stationary at 34. Overall since the pandemic began, the IDPH has reported 1,202,709 cases with 20,810 deaths statewide. A total of 3,567,927 vaccines have been administered across Illinois as of Wednesday with over 104,000 dose given out on that day.
