MAROONS HOLD OFF INDIANS

The Robinson Maroons held off a charge in the fourth quarter and went on to a 49-40 win over the Lawrenceville Basketball Indians Friday night at Robinson. The Maroons led 10-8 after 1 quarter and 23-16 at the half before expanding the lead to 32-23 after three. But the Tribe rallied and had the lead down to 2 in the final quarter with a chance to tie or take the lead, but they fell short and Robinson hit free throws down the stretch to notch the win. The 1-6 Indians were led by freshman Bryant Jenkins with 15 points and Ethan Kelly with 11. The Indian JV also lost 47-24 with Clarence Hardiman scoring 10 and the Indian frosh-soph were nipped 41-40 with Jack Patterson scoring 19. Robinson improved to 5-5 with the win. The Indians are off until Wednesday when they host Olney.
