The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,884 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus across the state Thursday with 32 additional deaths. The latest Lawrence County Health Department figures show 10 new cases reported Thursday with 9 of those from a local outbreak. That upps the overall case total to 2,350. 10 cases are active with 2 people hospitalized. 2,309 people have made recoveries and the death toll remains at 31. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 1,181,226 cases of the disease with 20,406 deaths across Illinois. Knox County Indiana reported 13 new COVID-19 cases Thursday bringing the overall total there to 3,557.  Over 2.4 million vaccinations have occured across Illinois as of Thursday night with over 130,000 shots given Thursday alone-one of the highest vaccination days in the state. The LCHD will host it’s Moderna 2nd shot Clinic Saturday at Lawrenceville High School and a Phase 1-B Plus Drive-thru Vaccination Clinic scheduled for Wednesday March 3rd at the LCHD.
