The Lawrence County Health Department indicates there were just 2 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday bringing the county total to 2,340. 60 cases remain active with 2 hospitalizations. 2,249 people have recovered and the deaths remain at 31. There were no COVID-19 cases in Knox County Indiana for the second day in a row. The case count there is at 3,554 with no new deaths. Overall in Illinois since the pandemic got underway, there have been 1,179,342 cases of the disease with 20,374 deaths. A total of 2,310,929 vaccinations have been administered across Illinois as of Wednesday with over 55,900 shots given on that day
