Doris E. Patterson, age 91, of Bridgeport, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on May 05, 1929 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Elmer Sherman and Susan Jane (Brian) Goff. She married Charles ‘Jake’ Patterson on December 28, 1947, and he preceded her in death on February 27, 1987.
Doris was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; one son, Charles V. Patterson; one daughter, Vicki Jo Hall; four brothers, Virgil Goff, Gerald Goff, Francis Goff, and Horace Goff; and four sisters, Hildred Waggoner, Bernadine Potts, Anna Rae Hicks, and Leah Tedford.
Survivors include one daughter, Jackie Sue Gilliatt and husband, Gary of Sumner, Illinois; one son-in-law, Jack Hall of Lancaster, Illinois; one sister-in-law, Pauline Updike of Lawrenceville, Illinois; three grandchildren, Jon Hall and wife, Kelly, Joni Mosier and husband, Rob, and Jessica Stoner and husband, Brent; and seven great-grandchildren, Olivia Hall, Jackson Hall, Gabby Hall, Jacob Pierce and wife, Kiyle, Emma Mosier, Brantley Stoner, and Bailee Stoner.
Private services will be conducted at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois, and may be viewed on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM CST with the following link: https://www.facebook.com/emmonsmaceysteffey.
